Crafty Bitch.

I have been so crafty lately! Let's rephrase that...I've thought about being really crafty lately.  I discovered this's insane. I'm pretty sure this website is domesticating me.  I've found myself trolling around on it for hours looking at crafty projects that I've convinced myself that I'm going to do for the holidays.  Also, through this website I have also found that I [gasp] like to cook things.  Since Clint and I first started dating over a year and a half ago, I have been slowly trying my hand at cooking...along the way I have made some ok things and some really really terrible things. As of late though, (thanks to my new found love of, I have made some pretty tasty things that boyfriend has loved.

Who would have thought? Me, some-what-domesticated diva?

Can Guys and Girls REALLY be JUST friends?

I recently just watched "When Harry met Sally". Why in the world had I never seen this fabulous flick before?! Such a great New Year's movie..really warmed the heart, ya know? I posted a short clip from it that brought up a question that I had never really thought seriously about before? Can a guy and a girl really be just good friends? Or...does one of them always want to bone the other?

In the movie, Harry raises a few key points that got me really thinking about this topic. Harry says that "no man can be friends with a woman that he finds attractive. He always wants to have sex with her". I don't think that this is always true. Even if you want (or have thought breifly) about having sex with one of your guy/girl doesn't mean that you can't still have a long lasting friendship...

Most of my closest friends are guys and I am (clearly) a girl. Even though I may find (most) of my guy friends attractive, this does not mean that I would just go around boning them all! That would be a bit absurd. I can name lots of my guy friends that I might find attractive that wouldn't necessarily find me attractive (and vice versa)...just because we are attracted to one another doesn't mean that we can't be friends. I am a firm believer in that your thoughts are your thoughts until they are said aloud. As long as you keep that dirty little thought to yourself, then the other person will never even know that you have even breifly thought about boning them. You can still have an open, long lasting friendship and not have (or think about having) sex. There would be no reason for this to get in the way unless the people involved had virtually no self control what-so-ever. It's when you actually say out loud that you want to fuck your friend that you run into conflicts.

After some mild arguing, Harry then goes on to say that a guy and a girl can't be just friends because "the sex thing is already out there so the friendship is ultimately doomed and that is the end of the story". End of story, Harry?! Really?? I don't think so. Sex can ruin's ruined a few of mine....but it doesn't have to ruin every friendship.

Bottom line: just because a guy and a girl find eachother attractive, does not mean that they're going to bone...or that they even want to. Sometimes, a friendship is more important than a sexual attraction.

What do you guys think? Are you really just friends with your guy/girl friends? Or do you just want to bone them?

If any of you (my lovely 1 reader...) haven't seen this fine movie, then I suggest tracking it down. It's fantastic. Oh...and if you tell anyone that I love Love LOVE sappy romantic comedies...I'll hunt you down myself.

Hoop for yo FACE

This is the video that made me pick up a hula hoop...THIS GIRL...(Christabel Zamor) is the reason I started hoop dancing. I'm slightly obsessed with her...(one might even call it a hoop crush...) just thought I'd share.

Tiga Tiga Woods Ya'll

Alright...I know I'm a little bit late to be jumping on the whole "Tiger Woods Scandal" bandwagon, but the whole thing has got me thinking...

Are we, as human beings, born to cheat? it in our nature to be monogomous? We are the one of the few species that are it just a social norm? I's becoming more and more acceptable to have an "open relationship"...but it's still generally frowned upon. I don't know how I feel about the whole thing...I believe that it takes a very special kind of person to be in an open relationship...I don't think just anyone is cut out for it, but that can go both ways....I don't think everyone is capable of being in a monogomous relationship either. Even if we're in a commited, monogomous relationship, I think that it is in our HUMAN nature to lust and want the opposite (or sometimes same) sex... it's whether you give in to the lusting and the wanting that makes you a "cheater" or not.

I think we are born to cheat and I don't think it's in our nature to be I think that everyone should be in an open relationship? NO. Could I be in an open relationship? I don't know...I've never tried? There would have to be lots of rules...and lots of emotions would have to be supressed. I don't consider myself a jealous person, but I could see jealousy rearing it's ugly head juuuuuust a little bit in an open relationship situation.

Now kids...don't get me wrong...cheating=not ok. Tiger--you're still a DOG for cheating...BUT...allllll I'm that I think it's in our nature. What do youuuu think?
